You Oughta Know.

Hello Stranger.

October greets with a strangeness, has it not? Well for me, it definitely has. From the timing of my new semester schedule which reminds us of how short 7 weeks actually is because the holidays are coming to an end. Oh, have i mentioned that school starts on the 19th? Yes... it does.

Anyways, Khalisah's display picture on Facebook happens to be the one below. I THINK IT IS REALLY HILARIOUS! HAHA! it cracked me up a tad bit and made a smile magically appear across my face..... yes, it was a dull day.
Anyways, i have finally adopted back my habit of reading. I have not been reading for a long time. and so it is clear from the way i've been writing/blogging/speaking, is it not? But this occurrence, only for a short time and a good cause. Dan Brown has a new book which was in stores 15th September 2009 actually i wonder why i didn't know earlier.... oh wait, i think its because I DONT READ? hmmmm..... So anyway, i've embarked on the adventure of The Lost Symbol. And its a real good book, like OBVIOUSLY right?

For those who love pictures, here's one right below! :D
You guys should purchase your copy of this book, and get started!

In music news, Britney Spears has announced her next album: The Singles Collection. What an INGENIOUS album title! :D I KNOW RIGHT?! Sarcasm aside, her new single off the album will be "3". A song that blatantly describes how she's eager to have a threesome. Perhaps, she needs to spice up her sex life a bit.... Oh yes, it does even mention a fourth person... wow... she really needs some spoofing up.....

Below is the alternative album art that many people haven't yet seen. I like the song, its very catch! its gonna do AWESOME on the charts, despite its raunchy details..... Parents should be worried.. VERY WORRIED..

BEYONCE! MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE SINGER has made history according to Billboard. And hence, she received some award on the 2nd October. Also, she is featured on the cover of the magazine. Below are three gorgeous pictures of BEYONCE!

Don't you just love the last picture? HAHA. oh well, Beyonce has done some pretty fantastic renditions of her songs as a singer.. But i thought it was about time to show you the best performance of her song "Crazy In Love". This was during her tour "The Beyonce Experience" show in L.A.

I think the amazing part of this performance was:
1. Her rendition of Gnarls Barkley's hit single "Crazy". And.. i used to hate this song until recently
2. Her ability to sing ON PITCH with so much movement.
3. Her crazy DANCING! :D
4. Her amazing vocals (and her melisma), overall.

that is why i love Beyonce oh-so-much!
and with that, i am gonna end off my post with one final picture!

FASHION IS A RELIGION
THIS IS THE BIBLE

This is gonna be my new FAVOURITE movie after Devil Wears Prada. The September Issue is a movie as a documentary of US Vogue Editor In Chief: Anna Wintour. You don't wana know how much she's being paid to do her job. I think she's fantastic, and if you don't know her, ITS ABOUT TIME YOU DID. GO WATCH THE MOVIE!

With that... see you soon darlings.
xoxo,
M.

Remember My Name.

Hello Amazing People.

THIS UPDATE IS DEDICATED TO THE MTV VMAs.

Well i'm sure you must've heard about some of the stuff that went down, because A LOT did... lets start off with the winners. Not surprising, really. Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears... we saw this coming.

But we didn't see Kanye West coming of course. OH WAIT, you know he was being an a-hole again right? LOL. Lets not even get started.

Below is one of the 3 videos i'll embed in this post! This one's by Lady Gaga. This performance was FANTASTIC. This was a "Poker Face" intro to "Paparazzi"! :)

Anyways, more on Lady Gaga... she wore really weird outfits at the concert. LOL. Everyone seemed to be talking about her.... "bird's nest" thing. Take a look at the picture below!

The next performer is BEYONCE! YEAHHHH! she was amazing to help protect Taylor Swift. So here she is with her "Sweet Dreams" intro to "Single Ladies". Its amazing how she always manages to alter the arrangement of this so effortlessly.

AND the last one isn't a performance, but a video. FAME! comes out in cinemas 25th September. This movie is a remake of the original Fame Series and the promotional song is "Fame" otherwise known as "Remember My Name". This version is sung by the lead actress, Naturi Naughton for the movie. Enjoy!

MY BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW! :D so lets hope my 18th is a GREAT one! :D

xoxo,
M.

Hello, June.

Hi Stranger.

A new month starts, yet again. we recall the moments of happiness June brought us, the same time just a year ago. It was more blissful perhaps. Less stress, less wandering without worries. But now, just less than a week away, doesn't that feeling of death linger within you, like you're so unprepared for this. I wonder how i'm gonna pass the obstacles in my life like this. Yes, i'm talking about the Common Tests. 3 papers, next week. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday

Well, to look forward to other events in June, birthdays! Shu Ya! Your birthday's in a few days' time! :D The JC students are having their breaks now, so i can't wait for mine to start! Ambassadors are having the inauguration and the T&B Camp, which i'm also looking forward to. And i've just signed up for YLA2 as well! :D I'm hoping to take a getaway with Baoying and SiEn during the break as well! THATS A LOT LINED UP EH?! :D

I say, every man for himself. Lets change that up with more emotion. every FUCKING man for his FUCKING self. Why? Well, thats the ugly truth about the world. Everyone's greedy, jealous for their own wants. Everybody wants a slice of the cake. Misery, really. Uncalled for, unappreciative, unreasonable, ungrateful. Its hard to find another who's not. But what are the chances? I watched Keeping Up With The Kardashains, and its just so sad. Khloe, Kourtney. Both of them having their boyfriend's cheating on them. Ouch..

Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince trailer is AWESOME!!!! Here's the official trailer for it! And the movie's set to be released in the U.S in July. I CANNOT WAIT! :D

Also, the sequel to the movie, Twilight: New Moon, will be in theatres this year. I'm really excited to see it. I don't think its gonna be as good as the book is (like every good novel goes, the movie always sucks), but still. here's the trailer!

Alrights, thats the end of my short update!

Marcus.

An Update 2

So, lets' continue!

In case you never knew, Paris Hilton is branching out into various sources in order to establish a proper source of income. These diversifications include music, perfumes and......TV Shows. Last year, Paris Hilton had a reality show to find a new best friend. It was named: "Paris Hilton: My New BFF". This year, she's up for another since her..."new BFF" left her after all. and is back with: "Paris Hilton's British Best Friend", aka. BBF.

I wonder how far she's gonna go to permutate the B's and F's in that. Oh, and how many cities she's gonna go to in order to find a true best friend. A constant question that popped up in my mind? WHY BRITAIN.....?!

I watched "Inkheart" yesterday, and it was fantastic! Haven't enjoyed such a movie in quite a while. Not to mention its marvelously handpicked actors. :D No, i'm not talking about Brendan Fraser...

So anyways, I'm looking forward to this! "The Pink Panther 2", which would be released in Singapore on 19th March. Well, i laughed my ass off for the first movie, especially during the hamburger pronunciation scene! LOL! Steve Martin is extremely hilarious! :D Have i ever mentioned the similarity of looks between Steve Martin and that of John McCain?! LOL!

Also, since we're on the topic of movies, there's gonna be a Charlie's Angels third movie installment! :D I'm really psyched about this because its probably gonna be a blast! It's in the making this year, so lets hope it comes out next year!

I haven't exactly shared music in a while. So i'm gonna share with you this song by Beyonce. Its entitled "Broken Hearted Girl", which is not her single. Her single is "Halo", which is also great, but i like Broken Hearted Girl, better. So do give it a listen! :D

I've also included a cover version of the song by Rin On The Rox. They're really good, might not shine very well for this song, but they're fantastic harmonizers! so hope you like this cover too! I personally prefer Rin's voice. :D

In addition to this, Kelly Clarkson has released her video to her song "My Life Would Suck Without You". I'm sure most of you would've found out that the song is highly addictive and grows even more on you when as you listen. :D

Hope you liked it! :D With this, i shall end off my long post here!
Lots and lots of love,
Marcus.

An Update 1

Hello my fellow readers!

i'm here to update my blog, which has been a slight standstill. well, its always been slow, so no complaints here, aite? January has been rather slow for me. I have no idea why, but its been really quite tiresome this month. I'm really looking for things to turn up in February, but i highly doubt so. There's exams next month. :( But still, keeping my hopes up because i should be all optimistic, right?

Below is one of the logos i so happened to have... "designed" for one of my projects, which involved the making up of a taxi company. My inspiration for its tag-line was due to the fact that i have an uncanny fate with taxis. NEVER ABLE TO GET ONE WHEN I WANT TO. hence, the tag-line. :D
Anyways, i wanted to do this write-up on movies! You know how some movies are always to the extremes? Like how "Transformers" was so noisy, and how you didn't know what was happening throughout the whole movie of "The Happening"? Well, here's the tribute to them. :D Posters that SHOULD carry the ACTUAL message, before we watch them in cinemas! :D

Below is one of the shoes that Kayne West designed for LV. I am pleasantly surprised by the colour. :D RED!!!! I love red things, so i was rather glad to see a red pair of shoes, FROM LV. However, i did find it a bit too overdone, especially when it was worn with jeans - which tend to be blue/blackish.

You know they say there's a price to pay, for everything. I guess since fashion is more expensive, What more, LV....

Alright. I'm gonna end this section of my long post today, here! :D Please do continue reading the other section! :D

My Life Would Suck Without You.

AMERICAN IDOL premieres tonight! i really cant wait to see this whole season of AI! After all, there is someone whom i'm really looking forward to see. The new judge, Kara DioGuardi. She's a very talented singer/songwriter. And i've done some research on the lady. She composed songs for Hilary Duff, Katharine McPhee, Kelly Clarkson, The Pussycat Dolls, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Celine Dion, and many more.

but singers alone does not do her justice. Apologize and Stop And Stare was co-written by her. Nick Lachey's What's Left Of Me, David Archuleta's Crush, Kelly Clarkson's Walk Away are just some of the songs written by her. No doubt, she might not be as talented as The Clutch; but give her credit for being so talented as a solo writer!

So, i never really did see how she looked like, until yesterday when i watched an interview online. and i thought, wow. she does look very familiar. Doesn't she look like Katharine McPhee? So here's the comparison. Above is the picture of Kara and below is the one of Katharine. Hmmm. must be the hair, eyes, and bone structure. LOL!

Oh yes, she's quite gorgeous for her age. she's 38, and she can sing! so i decided to find something to hear her voice. so here's it.

AHHH! I'm also looking very forward to watching Red Cliff 2! yes, the second "episode" as they put it. but i dont know china movies that are called "episodes". anyways, the first one was good, and i've heard the second was a smash. :D so... YEAH!

For music, Kelly Clarkson has had her single "My Life Would Suck Without You", leaked! :D finally..... the song isn't the best of her singles to date, but its catchy and very like-able. it grows on you, like many other songs. its fantastic now that i've had it on repeat for so long. :D here's the song in a youtube video! hope you like it!:

The week has been rather rough. Started out with a horrendous Statistics test, which i'd probably funk. uhh, and yeah. got a presentation this Friday. and i'm just dying to keep up because next Tuesday is my macroeconomics test. :D lovely right, poly?

right.. talking about this, the o level results came out this week! Congrats to all the O Level results receivers! and those who didnt do as well, keep working hard! its not the end yeah? :D

alright. that's all for today. catch you guys soon! :D
xoxo,
Marcus.
