Maybe I'm Ready.
the picture above was taken from Kiewu's blog. ahhh. yes, went back to school on Friday for the teachers' day celebration. Queensway got its Value Added Gold for 2007. :D as much as i'm elated for jealous for my batch, i wish the following batch all the best and good luck! prelims have started, anyway. lol.
clearly, i've been blogging less, with only 16 posts this month. i have a hunch that its gonna be like this for quite a while. perhaps because my life lacks happenings to jot down here. or perhaps i'm worried not as much as i used to be. maybe its the way i think that solving things would occur as the problem comes my way. and perhaps its just due to the fact that i couldnt care less about anything other than....
Music in, there are tonnes of new songs. but only a handful are good. lets start with Pussycat Doll's second single just out yesterday! the song is collaborated with Missy Elliot. Its nothing compared to the first single. and its not very nice initially. mediocre stuff. Entitled "Whatcha Think About That", here it is!:
and i'm leaving you with another song. This is by Amy Pearson. She's an australian singer. wonderful song this is. Entitled "Ready To Fly", this song is..well, more meaningul. :D i absolutely love it. hah. hope you like it too!:
alrights. well, thats a short update of songs. here is a short piece of news. DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES SEASON 5 premires on 28th September! GOSSIP GIRL SEASON 2 premires on 1st September! MY BIRTHDAY is on 16th September! And... there's a fourth judge on American Idol, Kara DioGuardi. She's a songwriter, and has done many amazing pieces. Do check her discography out. :D
thats all for today!
thank you for checking by ((:

Don't Give Up!
it came to a point in my life that i realised that my blog
so. yesterday was a day spent at home really. i wasnt feeling very a-okay. even until now, slight headache. and oh well. anyways. what has happened that i haven't told you is that i went to alter my jeans. simply cannot wait. :D and i got pictures taken and took some too. heh. there are 4 here today. (:
right, so. this friday is teachers' day celebration for most schools, and it has been planned that we would go back to QUEENSWAY for the celebration. For more details on timings, check out Kie Wu's blog. really, its kinda senseless because i dont know anyone who knows both Kie Wu and i, who doesnt read his blog. *rolls eyes*
and yes, Gossip Girl! hah. i know its kinda late. but honestly, better late than never. i know many Gossip Girl fanatics out there. And personally, joining the ranks of yet another crazy-cat-fight series is adrenaline gushing! hah. with actresses such as Blake Lively and Chace Crawford, its amazing how you could never watch it.
oh, and i'm sure you Gossip Girl die-hards already know about the juicy bit. The second season is a few days away! :D so just gear up for more of it coming your way eh? ((:to leave you with a fantastic song. This is a song collaborated by artists all famous and "broken-through" in their own fields. From artists from Carrie Underwood to Leona Lewis. Mariah Carey to Rihanna. Beyonce to Mary J. Blige. LeAnn Rimes to Miley Cyrus. i think this track sung for a cause - Cancer, is reall wonderful. Here's "Just Stand Up" featuring 15 artists. I'm sure you'd fall in love with it over time.
i left the artists there for you to see how MANY of them contributed. anyway, i hope you heard the climatic whistle register done by Mariah. and Beyonce's famous rolling notes whilst Mariah was "whistling". LOL!
thats all for today!
lotsa love!

Looked No Further.
Pictures of you, pictures of me. great! today i'll be dropping 2 fantastic pictures. not because it has me in it :S but its really nice. and i love it. so, here they are!
What gave me the inspiration to entitle the picture below "Reminiscent" was because of how you look at it and wonder to yourself about the "what if's" and when you're actually doing that act again, you'd be reminded of so many things. the human mind - simply wonderful.
i've got not much to blog about, but here is a song from Dido, with a song from her upcoming album. The song is titled "Look No Further". Yes, we havent heard from her in a long, long time. and i got to say that i absolutely love this song. Its a very simple song with a very "orchestral" theme to it. not only does it have a simpleness to it, its also really sad. but anyway here is on youtube, so do enjoy it!
thats all for today!
sorry for the lack of updates. i've been cutting down of nonsensical blogging ((: ahahaha. tsk, is it me? or has it been raining really heavily all of a sudden these past few days. hmmm. so thats all for now! will blog soon.
lotsa love!

A Song Memo.
this entry is done at 3.18am on 22nd August 2008, but i just changed the date. i decided to do such a late post. well, a post of songs. songs that have a difference in meaning to my life. lets forget about songs that i put up here everyday. these are randomly thought up. no preparation done. so, here they are.
Craig David - You Don't Miss Your Water
i have put this song on my blog before, and i have to put it again. it reminds us of how important that one person is to us. that we only regret the decision
Stacie Orrico - More To Life
why this song? well, there always is a point in life that you feel that you deserve someone or something better. Just like Backstreet Boys' song "Happily Never After", perhaps sometimes you do deserve someone better... that motivating factor that keeps pushing you for more, that drive, that expectancy - its simply human nature, dear.
Layla Kaylif - Shakespeare In Love
this wonderful song that reminds you of your happiness and joys that were once seen as troubles. When you used to believe that love wasn't existing in the world, when you started loving so much. Perhaps Shakespeare was really in love, and perhaps we all should love unrelentingly.
Mariah Carey - Through The Rain
ahhh, this wonderful song that spurs us onto searching for more meaning. kind of an encouraging song and a soulful song at the same time, i never find myself at the expanse of being so emotional. but nevertheless, chin up because the song is about looking ahead and being strong, persistent, unshaken. (: You will always find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, so be optimistic and trust in yourself and your judgements.
S Club 7 - Have You Ever
And now, the sad songs come. One that makes you reflect with the question "Did i do it right?" because many a time we are forced into that nook, into that corner with no way out. well, technically, there is - to give up. But is giving up really the right thing to do? i dont know about it for all situations, but when it comes to love? Never. love is patient, kind and never ceases right? have YOU ever loved and lost somebody, wished there was a chance to say i'm sorry?
India.Aire - Heart Of The Matter
And the sad song about giving it all up because i will move on? Well, this song really makes you cry. Together with "All By Myself"? its a deadly combination. dont do it. you'll feel horribly miserable. Listen to a song like this because it talks about how you're gonna move on even if you love the other so truly. and when that happens, come back to the basics of yourself. start to forgive and release all bitterness. make yourself a better person through it. dont do it for someone, do it for yourself. (:
And when all is said and done,
lets pray for better days ahead of us all.
love.

It's Not Like That Now.
So you see that in the above picture, its LINDSAY LOHAN! ((: ahh, this was the shoot that she did with the exact same photographer that took Marylin Monroe's famous photographs. I think that she did relatively well. and technically, its really quite late that i chanced upon the photos, but they're really quite good, coming from this girl. ((:
Uh yes, today i'll be talking about similarities. well, lets start with the 2 above pictures. One, an album by Jordan McCoy's song entitled "Just Watch Me". And the one below, Madonna's song off Hard Candy - "Candy Shop". tsk. they are like the same, hello? lol. i did some research. Madonna came out with her album before Jordan did. so, well. yeah. anyway, Jordan's only 17 this year, so be easy on her! She's born 1 day after i am. (:
and this, was really interesting. i was searching for album artworks for iTunes online when i found the above picture, of: HILARY DUFF. omg? does that even look like her? When i saw her, i told myself, she looks like KEIRA KNIGHTLY! and so i decided to do a comparison on here. well, Keira didnt have the exact same pose, but look at their features!!! ((:
tsk tsk! Do you see that glittery car? OMG. Baoying sent this through e-mail and i was like "OMG" and so, yeah. the car's worth 4.8 Million USD! and it belongs to a Prince in Saudi Arabia. tsk! what's worse is that you need to pay 1000 bucks just to TOUCH IT................... daylight robbery is an understatement!
haha. so, lots of pictures today. and its time for a song comparison! hah. the same songs sung by 2 different people. One is sung by Avril Lavigne, the writer of the song. The other is sung by the lovely Leona Lewis. The song? "I Will Be". its a fantastic song. i personally prefer Avril's rendition. (: here it goes!:
AVRIL'S
LEONA'S
alrights. thats all for today. oh, management exam sucked, real bad. lets just all fail together!
lotsa love!

Dream Come True?
tsktsk! today's Econs exam was really much tougher than i expected. i'm not really thinking about how badly i did or how well i did partly because i dont know if i'm right or wrong. :D well, a blessing in disguise i guess. hahah. anyways, tomorrow's ITB! and i'm still left with a chunk to digest and commit to memory. AWESOME MODULE!!!!!! (:
PUSSYCAT DOLLS! the picture above is the album art for their new album, "Doll Domination". i'm really psyched for it and cannot wait for its release next month! (: haha. i'm really hoping that the other dolls will get a chance to sing. I'm really hoping to hear Melody more. anyway, there was a track off the album that leaked. Its entitled "Out Of This Club", and kinda sounds oddly similar to Usher's "In This Club". The song isn't fantastic as its a slow ballad which... Nicole sings at most parts and R Kelly (who collaborated on this track) had to ruin it more with his voice. :S anyways, here it is!:
oh yeaps. and the picture below was one of the photo shoots they did. it probably looks like the scene in "When I Grow Up" where they danced on the scaffolding thing-y. heh.
so, i went studying with Xenia at holland, where Kie Wu came by later. Well, we were supposed to be studying, but we ended up camming each other, even though we were directly opposite each other. errrrrr, yeah. LOL!! and we screen-shot this! yay for me cuz i look so fugly. but you know what, i dont care! haha. we were really productive studying today! (:
oh, we even had a video. OF ME. lol. i swear, this is SOOOOOOO UNGLAMM! hahaha. its like the ONLY chance you'd get to see me do something so stupid! haha. so, better watch it! haha. the thing i'm holding is.....an ikan bilis. :S HAHAHAH! WATCH IT!
LOL! okay. fine. remember this moment alright. LOL. and there is ONE more video! FOR ALL DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES FANS! ((: yay! Season 5 is coming out sooooooonnnn! haha. here is the interview/trailer and more info on the season! (: i SO cannoooot wait for it! (: haha.
thats all for today!
WISH ME LUCK FOR TML!
lotsa love!

A Perfect Denial.
firstly, tomorrow is Econs paper. absolutely psyched for it though. it all comes down to this. sometimes i hate how the world is. how they base your understanding on a single thing, an exam. and then they tell you that if you're absent without an MC, you'd be given a zero. HELLO? how does that test your understanding? heh. anyway. Saturday is ITB. goodness, who the heck cares what a database is. ha. lol, i was reading the notes just now. they were describing a "hacker". LOL! and what the hacker hacks for. ER?! what do i need to know that for! heh.
tsktsk. the photos you see. well, only 2. were taken at west coast. hmm, since they were taken at night, and since i have very shaky hands, i apologise for the horrible pics. LOL. but still, its amazing how a single picture puts you to silence and awe at it. (: okay fine, not these 2. lol.
i've got a relatively old song by 30 Seconds To Mars today. Entitled "A Beautiful Lie", i think this song pretty much represents every aspect of deceit we should know. be it the way your parents lie to you, or the way you've been lied to by your closeset friend, or as potrayed in the video, that the world is coming to an end :S lol. so here is the song:
alrights. i shall end off here and continue revising my econs. market structure. ((((:

Ignorance, Innocence, Incredulous.
with that cat above you must be thinking what on earth my message is today. well, cats are temperamental creatures. they have their ups and downs. when they're cold, they're selfless and ignorant to you. but when they're hot, they rub across your calf, hoping to seek attention with soft, gentle purrs. like cats, we are on and off. like cats we have our up's and down's. like cats, we're curious. and as they say, don't let the cat out of the bag. so safeguard yourself. dont let that veil of secrecy get lifted.
hah. if you've noticed both on MSN and facebook, i changed my status around the message of "ignorance is bliss". looking at Xenia's blog, i was inspired to write a bit of what i thought, less of speak of what i felt wholeheartedly. there are many a thing we would rather choose not to hear, but like i said on MSN, "Ignorance is bliss..only until you find out" well, yes it is. really. as much as the things i would not wana know in my life, i already do. yes, perhaps there are more, i plea, please let it remain th' way it is.
anyways. i've got a video for you. This is Jessica Mauboy. She was the runner up of Australian Idol (i dont know which season) with a cover of Christina's "Beautiful". its lovely really. i love the way she transcends to her high notes. lovely. do make sure you give it a listen!
ahh, the last piece of news. J.K Rowling has announced her release of a 5 series book. The first of which is entitled "The Tales Of Beedle The Bard". You can check out more on the book!
lotsa love!

Settling Dust.
the picture above oddly reminds me of a burnt forest of trees. i really cannot put a finger to the link, but thats why its odd. lol? anyhow. lets do some thinking. if the sun that provided us the source of energy, the heat and warmth, were to disappear. if it were to be replaced with a star or a moon. a moon full with a cold gleaming exterior. what were we to do? and if the sun were to be replaced without us knowing really, would we be like the trees? that we die oblivios to the change? would we dry up and be self absorbed?

Listen To My Heart.
i dont think i'll be doing a description of my pic above. its, well, me. lol. the caption is "Anticipation", its meant for those countless hours we spend waiting. waiting for anything, and everything, good or bad. ahhh. hope is such a positive word with actions that are invalid. for when action acts up, reality is what takes place.
oh. that picture is SOOOOOO freaky! haha.it looks.....haunted. goodness. i wonder why did i edit it that way. haha. garrhs. okay. i actually did watch the Olympics. so much for saying that i wouldnt. hahaha. anyway. i did. i watched the volleyball match between Cuba and Poland. LOL! and i watched the synchronized diving. (: China is leading btw, with 6 golds and 2 silvers i think. yeah.
YAY! the picture below is my first of many pictures to come of vehicles zooming past. gosh. to think about it, it looks kinda bad. :S oh well... first of many to come right? i hope the future ones turn out better? hahaha. i'm always so positive............hmmm. not really actually. i'm relatively pessimistic. lol. oh anyway as kiasu as i may be, i FINALLY got my first Ad by nuffnang.. ahahah. so yeah. whee!
i'm gonna leave you with an old song by DHT. its titled "Listen To Your Heart". i hope you'll like it. (: haha. and the picture below was taken by Xenia. no editing done at all. whee! haha. it looks kinda condescending. lol. oh well. its pretty nice though. ((: hahah.

Change In Destiny.
NATIONAL DAY falls today! happy birthday Singapore! (: 43 years after Independence, we've finally gained recognition as a country that has developed and advanced immensely, in such a short time! this, i must say is really commendable, especially to Mr LKY. anyhoos, people are wearing red shirts. so much for patriotism? :S maybe its still because they're at a loss of what to wear other than red. ha. wait, isn't red worn the most during CNY? hmmmm.... oh, its gonna rain today i think. i dont know how the celebrations are gonna go. hmmmm. Well for sure, marcus is very patrotic today with the Singapore Flag on his blog.
The Olympic Games have started as of yesterday. i doubt i'm gonna watch anything though. but well, it's in China. thats a first ((: i wonder how bad things would go though. as you can tell, i'm kinda skeptical. lol. ahh, give them some credit. afterall, they did spend 40 million USD on the Olympics. hmmm. yeah. bravosimmo.
i must emphasize that The Love Guru is a wonderful funny movie. yes, lewd remarks are really peppered throughout the movie, but its what makes it so funny. but on the other hand, it dawned onto me how "blonde" singaporeans are? how oblivious we are to the world out there? things that are so funny, others didnt laugh at. gosh, must we have a "Joke 101: When To Laugh"?
alrights. to leave you with a song, this is the Clique Girlz. if you watched the movie Bratz, you would've heard their song. I didnt really like them because they're kinda young and they were screaming away. Anyway, this song is titled "Incredible" and its an acoustic version of it, a lot nicer. its from youtube cuz i couldnt find a mp3 version on imeem. :S so, enjoy! (:
alrights. thats all for today!
lotsa love!

Under-Estimator.
looking at the picture above. hmmm. well, today i'm gonna be talking about light - a few aspects to it. today's narration will be slightly longer. lets start. We know that light - a source that gives us warmth both physically and internally. something that provides when you are in need. something that comforts and secures the void in your heart. light helps to perceive the future path before you, both literally and figuratively. that light, that sole flame acts with such importance. thinking back, i realise why candles were used to symbolise the starting of new beginnings.
ahh. then comes the extinguishing of light. just like good triumphing over evil is just and is of natural order, darkness should never triumph over light. darkness, or rather, the lack of light creates an uneasiness in people. the fear of the unknown, the future simply makes individuals mind-rant a chain of imaginary incidents, some of which are supernatural. a person becomes unsteady, supportive and vegetative in state. why talk about this, you might question. its because of how important we need that one flame, the one light in our lives. it is the true essence of a person that affects the other. just like how a flame gets extinguished when covered with a jar, wrack away that facades, and be yourself. be the light that everyone needs.
and in the light of the above, things may not go my way. happenings choose their own paths, but good overall dominates so fret not for trust kicks in. (: ahhh. i dont know what made me type that chunk above. but its all done. so yeah. nexxxxt!
i started studying econs today! oh mann, its really late to start, but you know what they say: Better late than never!! whee. yeaps. i'm planning to start on ITB sometime soon. perhaps.....tomorrow? hmm. anyhoos, i was thinking to myself that i have hardly celebrated anyone's birthday this year. hmmmm. peculiar really. its already August and i havent exactly had a celebration for any of my friends. i guess that means none for me as well.... oh well, what goes around comes around right..
more boring stuff. i was reading the papers yesterday. did you know that oil has dropped from USD141 to USD119? i KNOW. omg right? lol. anyway, the price of oil is expected to hit a rock bottom of USD100 thereabout and then get jacked up to USD140 and above. they even say its expected to hit USD200 by next year. oh mann. we're all gonna die!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! oh well, enjoy what you have now! ((:
below are 2 posters of movies! i really wana watch the second one, THE LOVE GURU! Mike Myers. he is SO hilarious. (: lets hope that i have the time to watch it before my lovely exams that start next friday, the 15th.
alrights. i think i've run dry of words and stuff to bore you with, so here's a closing from me. i've got no new songs to share with you. but i've got some new stuff. i'm learning to play Take A Bow on the piano (: and there's something about me thats different. blarh!
lotsa love!

Crush Away.
picture reception. well, a cat. you must be thinking: what is marcus thinking about? well, the cat obviously is sleeping. As i went for my grand-dad's funeral today, i was reminded that he has fallen into a sleep, so peaceful, just as he passed on. the dear memories i have of this wonderful learned man will always stay close and ever real to me. cats, temperamental, ironic though. my grand-dad never lost his temper ONCE. just ask my mom. a good natured, respectable gentleman. he will be dearly missed.
ah well. today was a rough day for me. alright. a few quick updates. school's out for a second, and exams are creeping through the back door. i'd hope it would be unannounced, but oh poo, i already know. :S tomorrow i have dental. (: looking real forward to it. but lets keep those hopes on the low, shall we?
This week draws to the middle, and the Olympics are just round the corner. National Day as well. so many events, so little time to sit back and take time off to be so ever patriotic. *GRINS* anyhoo, facebook has changed its 'navigatory' interface. i prefer this one. more simple. (: yay to facebook! ((:
a matter that has been bothering me recently. it has upset my person totally. i'm fucked up from every direction. its turning my world upside down, driving me nuts. emotional roller coasters set off on its own. i really, really gotta get a hold of myself before i lose it. marcus is going through a lot of...'shit', so lay off me.
i'm sure you'd have heard his new song, David Archuleta with "Crush", its a song thats really addictive after the second listen. bottom line, you'll love it (: do enjoy this young talent!:
alright. thats all for today. nothing really interesting today, but still. had to do an update.
lotsa love!
the essence of a lie and facades
constantly hiding behind,
tear apart th' shell
emerge raw, as loving can be.

This Moment Of Bliss.
let me start off with my recent trend of picture perception based on my fluctuating mood. anyway, gazing in awe of the flawless picture above, i couldnt help but remember how things that are buried deep in a rut could turn for the better. this post today would be all about optimism. i dont see all negative. i'm an opportunist and an optimist. so leave me for who i am, and stop expecting of me. it either makes me level up, or piss me off. typically, i tend to inevitably choose the latter. (:
ahhh. you must be wondering why that starting. well, it comes to the third of the month. many things have happened in general. the seventh month has started. oh golly for that. and so has my grandpa's passing. furthermore, the exams are just round the corner. things that seem so bleak and hazardous might not always be. you know the cliche, "what goes up must come down"? well, yes, thats true. i believe so. just like "what goes around comes back around", a non-believer of the word "karma", but i think its almost oddly similar. :S
i finally got my hands on Katharine Mcphee's studio recording of "My Destiny", and i got to say it really did set off a series of unknown feelings for me. the live version wasnt very fantastic, but the studio version sounded of everything. gentle, a little annoying sometimes, straining of her voice. but all in all, i really loved it. (: here it is!:
submission of project for ITB is tomorrow, and i have decided to not go for it. i'm on the verge of succumbing to the deadly and deathly influenza. =XX but oh well. pumping of vitamins, water, fruits and sleeping much wont exactly help much at the eleventh hour, will it?
anyhows, i caught The Mummy 3 over the weekend,
lastly, i just heard the wonderful live version of Colbie Caillat's songs, Realize and Bubbly from Abbey Road. i couldnt find the versions on imeem, so i decided to upload it myself. (: haha. well, here it is! Colbie with Bubbly!:
thats all for today!
lotsa love!

Gone, in a blink.
and today is the beginning of the month. its a time to start looking forward. a time to have aspirations, those hopes and big dreams. i've got not much of a mood to set my expectations for this month. i'd do it another time i suppose? anyways. i was snooping around online and i found this video. Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince's TRAILER! yes my dear, its coming out this year! expected to be released on November the 20th, the movie sets a dark theme. i almost think its going to be more horrifying than good :S it should be rated "PG: Horror". lol. below is the video!
i dont have much else to add today. and sorry for being a bore. but i hope you enjoyed the trailer at least!
lotsa love!
