so, ANTM went well, i really like Lauren Brie's picture. it looked wonderful. its amazing what she does with her arms, hands and all that just looks splendid week after week. so here is she and Clark. i love clark's intensity she brings to the table. wow, really. totally didnt expect this from her. ha.
so, i dont know if you've heard about Britney Spears's new single for her new album to be released this year yes, 2008. she works fast.Her new single which just dropped yesterday, "Womanizer" is really catchy, and grows on you. not a fantastic song if you just hear it once. but hit it on repeat and you'd fall in love. hah. so, i have decided to put a download link for you all!yes, free because i know how kiasu we singaporeans are :X ha, anyways, please do feel free again, the "free" word, heh to download this:

alrights. so, i was thinking of getting a new phone. and i wanted it to be Sony Ericsson because of how i have used almost every other brand from Smasung to Nokia to Motorola and now, its time to use a Sony! :D so, i checked out this model W902 which is really new. and i do like it! it comes in three colours, but i'd probably go for dirty green because of how amazing it looks :D

Getting Lo(s)t[s] To Realize.

you know, as i was typing yesterday, that things are changing within. well, for one, the way of thinking surely isn't the same. not entirely changed of course.

but as i am typing this down, i was prompted to do so by an initial surge of emotion within. where it came from, i dont know. wait, i do. i was listening to this song. this simple yet so so so sweet and sad song. it could leak a tear even from the most upright of all men. Ha-Ash with the song "Already Home" is really convincing. listen to the lyrics at the chorus.



i was already home, right where i was supposed to be.. sometimes you're too close to see.. it took leaving you to know, i was already home.

you might question my rawness of emotion as being inappropriate and not very justified enough of a situation. but really, losing someone isnt the most easy thing to do. and surely, the paranoia of it isnt a slightest bit more comforting. they say it "kills you", it really does figuratively. and i am really just in a jumble, lost in my thoughts. what is my message here? i dont know, and i admit it.

i wrote this out of nothing but feelings. powerful emotions that drove in a direction that you hopefully see. it may be different for everyone - useless, saving grace, unnecessary, cool. anything goes really. but the bottom line is where you come to terms with your life story itself. where you face it in full truth and question yourself about the every single detail in your life. then only will you set a clean sheet of conscience and live a new you.

i hope that its not too complex to understand. sorry if it is. i wont simplify it. i dont wana tarnish my emotional wrath. :S

hello my dear readers.

i hereby apologise once again for not blogging for.....5 days straight? i dont know. its been a long time and i apologise, so there. LOL. anyways, no apparent reason to my absence. but to suffice, here's one pathatic one! :D i was lazy. yes, its no big secret that marcus gets lazy.. tsk. marcus IS lazy. what a lack of self respect i adhere to thyself eh? so lets get the ball rolling.

firstly, i would like to post a song by Jennifer Hudson, who's album would be due out in stores 30th September. This song actually got dropped as a single quite a while back. but i never really did take special notice to its lyrics. please do, listen to it. The song, entitled "Spotlight" takes a relatively straight-forward route of depicting the situation, with a subtle probing action. Hope you enjoy this one!



you know the song's meaning isnt as straight-forward as how nicely it sounds. so, really. take a close listen. and besides, this might serve as a message to everyone to start making sure that your loved one isn't just a thropy. that he/she might not be just that shine to compliment you. we dont belong to you, so treat us equal. :D

i just had to put that picture up there. i thought David looked horrible in his new album art. its either that he really did put on weight, or the photographer didnt capture it well. :S whichever, he still looks HIDEOUS. yes, i just used that horrible negative word.

i'm very tempted to change my style of blogging, change my content of blogging. it used to be everything about me. my thoughts, my ideas, my very self-centred and personal reflections on issues. but i changed that to become the blogger i am today. i changed that to become more relevant to my friends. check out my older blogs and maybe..... you'd know what i mean. no promises. *shrugs*

Strong Enough To Mend.

September has passed its midpoint. and here i am, on my 10th post of the month. well, things have been going rather similarly from day to day. not that its a bad thing, but it just lacks loudness. but you know what, sometimes, a little less noise does wonders in every aspect. anyway, Elina was called the first during the last episode, and here is her pic. i'm sure you ANTM watchers know it anyway.
i dont know if anyone has seen this before? but when i saw this i was like: "OHHHH!" hahah. i have nothing more to say about supermodels other than HOTTT! people dub Tyra Banks as one of the 'less hot' models. true, but i have told some of my friends that Tyra has something that many supermodels dont have. the eyes. :D tyra's eyes are wonderful, really. so, above is a collage of tyra! and i absolutely love them. i actually think that she looks like Janet Jackson. :S

aye, i wanted to prove a point today. i was watching Rihanna sing "Disturbia" live, and i felt that she was struggling, a lot. it was almost as if it was karaoke. yes, that bad. so i'll show you the video and the you hear the recorded track itself, and then you'll see why it sounded so different!

my verdict is that Rihanna has a very interesting and unique voice. when you hear her sing, its so distinct - just like Mariah Carey. And to be so very truthful, music produced in this era isnt based solely on its tone and voice but more of how the song was composed. there is more to music than meets the eye, or, in this case? enters the ear. I hate to say this, but Rihanna isnt brilliant in terms of vocals. however, she makes that up with her edgier style. Besides, she has produced what we wana hear - many many hits. Keep it going girl!

and next is Mariah Carey singing "Through The Rain". this song was about Mariah herself if you didnt know. and its a very hard song to sing. if you listen carefully, it sounds as if 2 different people are singing the chorus because of how she switches between her higher and lower octaves. its really beautiful and encouraging at the same time. Mariah has lipped this song many times, partly because its so tough to sing..., and this is the best i thought that sounded very natural. :D



alrights. i think thats about all i have to post today. in the next post i'll probably update you with some new songs. they're coming quite slowly at the moment. heh. so, till then!

Bludgened By Circumstance.

hello darlings. you must be wondering why i am posting 2 pictures. heh. anyways those of you who watch America's Next Top Model, you'd know that these two women got called in the first and second photoshoot. Above is Lauren Brie. Stunning really. i love how she contorted her arm. and below is Majorie. :D i love her. and Lauren seems to be giving consistent shots. Watched the fourth episode today. MAKEOVER! and i won't be a spoiler to anyone. hah.
well, Weijin comes back tomorrow! :D haha. quite exicted. havent seen him in a long time. haha. besides that, i'm kinda looking forward to my australian trip. ha. would get to see my niece and my cousin-in-law whom i haven't met. :S lol. so, the trip is from the 30th September - 12th October. yeah, but i'll still blog. Australia isn't that outdated in terms of technology. lol.

if you're wondering what genre this is? because taylor swift is a country singer, the genre is COUNTRY POP! :D hahaha. cool shit eh? haha. ONE LAST THING! a poem that i truly loved. Its by Maya Angelou and when she recited this, i was like "WOW", i felt so immobilized really. it was really strong and sent me a message so sweet and loving. :D Here is the poem titled "In And Out Of Time", i think.lol:

hello my dears.
i'm here, to blog again! a short update on what has happened ever since. well, firstly, the picture above. what i liked about it was the contrast between simplicity and complexity. Like i always think, nothing is simplistic. nothing is meaningless, and under all that facades, what will you really find. stare at the picture, and ask yourself what it means to you. would you wana be in the photographer's feet? or that of the Personal-Water-Craft drivers'?

i know, you must've seen the PCD's album art whilst reading all those names. tsk tsk!so you might be wondering why i have Pussycat Doll's: Doll Domination plastered above. well, for simple reasons like the album was released in Spain today! :D haha. and i had a listen to the tracks. they're quite like-able. it really grows on you, much like "When I Grow Up". and honestly, its more like: Nicole Domination. thats why there is a bonus album, each doll singing a song. Nicole does it best, followed by Ashley. the rest aren't very impressive. the album overall, is quite good! :D GO LISTEN! or i'll post it here soon! So far, "Hush Hush", "Who's Gonna Love You" and "I'm Done" sound really good to me. "Bottle Pop" is kinda different from the PCD's, but still rather catchy.

i shall continue my update of perhaps a proper birthday cake, tomorrow! :D oh, and results are out. they suck really bad, seriously. BAD.

Main Intersection.

hello my dears!

i'm back to blog about a few things today. lets start off with something in the news. yeah, the hike in the bus fares which take effect from October 1st. well, as a typical bus commuter yes kiewu, i do take the bus. *rolls eyes*, i have to say that the bus frequencies aren't very prompt. for example, if i miss a Trans-Island bus, i would have to wait for at least 2o minutes before another one arrives. I'm not unhappy with the service because clearly, we can't do anything about the functioning of the buses. i'm just appalled by the hike amidst the falling price of oil. yes, thats a separate issue though. and indeed, it may be a mere 4 cent hike, but if you take the bus 4 times daily, it makes a difference for a whole month. does it not? For one, the poor would feel this pinch, yet again.

and so here are pictures of me. you would've realised that i'm not wearing specs. yeah. i'm gonna be shuffling through contacts and specs. :D well, yeah. that's just that. heh. in addition, i'm sure you've realised that i've added a picture in my blog. yeah. i used that picture for one of my entries last month. (:
a few song updates. I'm gonna post 3 songs today. they're good songs. lets hope you like them!

First and foremost would be t.A.T.u! yes, we haven't heard from these 2 girls in a long long time! You would remember their hit single "All About Us" back in 2005 and their earlier hit "All The Things She Said" back in 2002 i hand't even started listening to music back then.....hmmm but anyway, here's their new single entitled "You And I". its very much like "All About Us", so yeah. i'm glad this Russian duo is back!:

Next, would be The Saturdays! This group is a British girl group of 5, 2 of whom used to be S Club 8 members. They're really quite good with their new single "Up". I'm loving this track so much its been on repeat forever! With three of the members at only 19 years of age, i'm sure his quintet will go far! :D this version is only 2 minutes plus. but the original version should be around 3 minutes though! still, do enjoy!:

aye. the last but of course not the least, we love her a lot. Rihanna with a track that i never knew existed until a week ago. This track was specially released on the Japan edition of Good Girl Gone Bad. Entitled "Haunted", this track sounds nice at first, but might grow slightly eerie. =X heh. nevertheless, its a nice track and its meaningful. not always implied in ghostly aspects, do explore the meaning of this song. its very strong. :D here is Rihanna!:

Reality Overtakes Surrealism.

in church, they call it spiritual warfare. in life its called the obstacles you encounter. but in relationships, we call it emotional runs. well, out of these three, the first and second have something in common - we hate it. we hate the evil spirits, we hate the horrible rides our bosses put us through. whats ironic? we dont hate our loved ones, but yet, it takes its toil on us. reality check? maybe you're not really elated at the end of the day. but still, you try to make the best. both parties are. really.. you just need to tell yourself that in between all the correcting.

interestingly, i have to say that its queer how people (in general) like to entertain weird thoughts? well, we usually refer to it as being a fantasy. but "fantasy" sounds to mythical and mystical for this being, and hence, i refer to is as queer imaginings. These thoughts, so downright repulsive, isnt on the same level toward all. Albeit it being evil and morally wrong in its self, i wonder how we humans are able to live our life on, when such spitefulness lurks within. have we no conscience?

ahhh, then we think to ourselves. perhaps its in the moment. maybe the words came out wrong. in the past during Shakespeare's time. they said that the act of wanting to do something was as good as doing it itself. so, the act of saying something? is as good as doing it already. so, really. don't point your fingers to me. true that i make mistakes all the time. and i'll gladly take critiques if it EVEN is a critique. as much as i dont see myself, you dont see yourselves either. so, lets all be fair and square.

when an odd and very awkward sense of jade arises within, forced to think about other less important things happens to be a tactic - not commonly used by myself, but nevertheless, used. and then the questions never end. and as for as long as i have known, i have wondered why such emotions hover despite such glee. in actual fact perhaps its not the process but rather the actions accompanied that lead to the process. complex as ever, i fought hard to keep such queer wanderings to myself. but for how long, i asked myself, again? just like glass, as more pressure is pressed upon, it will shatter. what will it take to shatter this heart of mine..?

when all the pieces fall in place, what 'left' will there be for me. rather, what will there be left for you to choose from since consequences must be served despite 'prejudism'. and yet, without being biased toward you, will there only be one option left? or would changes occur so as to improve, or should i kneel down lower? ha. senseless but true. pointing blatantly but clearly civil and upheld. why does the world revolve around vanity, vile, salacious and wanton. short of calling it whorish..

still, i'm more confused than not. maybe a song would do more judgment than my two cents worth. This song is titled "Thinking Out Loud", much like what i've done in this entry. its sung by Lesley Roy. she's rather new in the scene but she's coming out with pretty nice tracks. like this one. :D Lesley is 21 years old.


anyhoots, i dont think i want to say anything else. for a slower pace, listen to the next song. this song is rather old. its by Gabrielle. and its titled "Sunshine". i really like it. partly because its both happy and enigmatic at the same time. intruiging feeling. This song was released back in 1999! :D old song but reallly nice! just a short background, Gabrielle wrote this song after giving birth to her child, and the song itself is about her son. here is the video and song:

i'm here to do a short update.

had some pictures taken a few days ago, and they are, (if i may say,) spattered between these paragraphs. :D haha. okay as promised my update. Wednesday and Friday for this week marks going back to school for SL Recruitment Drive. wonderful i tell you. (: This week will surely move by fast. i'm not entirely happy about it though.
and if i may say, Gossip Girl Episode 2 turned out pretty alright. i guess they need to build the climax again. :S sounds awfully wrong. heh. other than that alone, i think that Dan and Serena match up pretty well now. awkward but true. aites. moving on from here, some music updates.
ahhh. The VMA 2008! haha. i'm sure you've heard, Britney won 3 Moonmen! HAHA. i swear, she's getting it back. :D I'm happy for her. i cant wait for her forthcoming album to be very truthful.

other performers at the VMA's were Christina Aguilera with her new single, "Keeps Gettin' Better" which will be released in the album Keeps Gettin' Better - A Decade of Hits. Yes, its been a decade for Christina's music career. i love this song considering it being a reinvention, yet again. Under the genre of Electro-Pop, indeed she's gettin' better! i love her new style!:

hello people.
its been a few days since i last updated, again. i've been, well, you could say busy. or rather, more involved with the details and going's of life. with little time to spare for even the simplest of all - updating my blog.

anyhoots, i'm here to post on a few things. lets start off with some geographic news. we all know the effects of global warming. with Live 8 and many other forms of public awareness such as the flim done by Al Gore - An Inconvenient Truth, i have to admit that the world does know that we have little time left. With even more shocking news that appeared on Thursday, an ice sheet thats the size of Manhattan broke off Ellesmere Island in Canada's northern Arctic. its worrying really, that ice caps in the polar regions are melting away at an increasing rate and it can never be reversible. alrights. next. WHITNEY HOUSTON'S performance of "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" and the American Music Awards in 1994. yes, it has been more than a decade ago, but the performance was splendid. there is no reason why anyone would not like this woman. so here it is!:

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL CYCLE 11 IS OUT! :D haha. i watched the 2 hour debut episode, and i am quite interested to see how things go from here. hmmmm. oh yeah, btw i LOVE CLARK! i think she's probably the prettiest of the bunch. :D heh. also, i think that Brittany S. aka as Mckey looks like Carmit Barcher from the Pussycat Dolls! Pieces Of Love & Pain.

hey darlings.
its a new month, yet another new beginning. the ninth month of this year not only represents another step closer to the end, but a many special occasion. :D yes, other than my birthday which falls on the 16th, results for the exams also come out. moreover, my flight to australia leaves on the 3oth! so... yes. anyway the above picture was taken a long long time ago, using my phone's camera. credits to Xenia for taking it :D

with the past left behind, i really am looking forward to a brand new start this month. hopefully fresher than the last. definitely more interesting and deserving. i'm hoping for a fun month with surprises and psychs around the corners. :D but thats all in hope. we'll live each day, optimistically!

ahhh. its been quite a while since i last blogged. i may be disappearing frequently. but trust me, the music scene is just getting stronger. i'm gonna be posting a few videos today. some which are jaw-dropping, others more eye-brow-raiser material. heh. to get things started, we have got "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" performed live by Jennifer Hudson and Jennifer Holliday! Jennifer Holliday was scary. watch and you'll know. haha :



and this next video was WOWing. Charice Pempengco, from the Philippines has a really amazingly powerful voice. Just like Bianca Ryan, this girl's young and talented! At only 16, she dished out songs by Whitney, Mariah and Celine Dion. Well, the divas of my generation surely inspire their future. ahhh. lastly, a song. Keri Hilson, part of the group "The Clutch" is a songwriter and a singer. you would remember her from Timbaland's smash hit "The Way I Are" and her own single earlier this year, "Energy".
