have you ever heard the USA's national anthem? yes, the name of the anthem is "Star Spangled Banner" and its actually a very beautiful 'song'. heh. anyways, i have been really stressed out over my exams, and so i started looking for national anthems sung by singers and all. dont ask me WHY lol. so here is a list of national anthems with videos! :D ENJOY!
IF YOU ONLY HAVE TIME FOR A FEW, WATCH: DIXIE CHICKS, THE ISACCS, WHITNEY HOUSTON.
1. 3 different Acapella versions.
DESTINY'S CHILD:(interesting version actually, but its pretty alright! lol)
THE ISACCS: (i didnt know who they were, but they're quite good. lol. so yeah. )
DIXIE CHICKS: (very good version. love the unison in harmonies! :D )
2. MARIAH CAREY: (Sounds like a Christmas carol! :D) they say that this was pre-recorded, especially the whistle note at then end. well, its her touch anyway! lol.
3. WHITNEY HOUSTON: (OMG! :D she is probably one of the best, pleasant singers. so, yeah! )
4. DEMI LOVATO: (Quite good, though she doesnt hold her low notes well. i kinda like her. lol. )
5. BEYONCE: (AHHH! sounds like a lullaby and Christmas carol too! oh well, her voice was kinda too soft and gentle.. so yeah. like how she added her touch to it - rolling notes. :D )
6. JORDIN SPARKS: (Hey, this was really good as well! i like it a lot)
7. JESSICA SIMPSON: (HAHAH! she sounds really funny, like she was trying to slur the phrases together. but, i have to say, it was live and wasnt as bad as i expected. she hit the high notes. lol. IMAGINE ASHLEE DOING IT!!! lol. )
8. CARRIE UNDERWOOD: (What could go wrong, really. on pitch throughout! though a bit dull and country-like after a while. :S )
9. FAITH HILL: (she's not very popular in the music scene, but she has a very beautiful voice. do listen to her version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow", its very beautiful. this one too, was on pitch. :D )
10. HILARY CLINTON: :D (OH MY GODDDD. you have to watch this! its hilarious! :D )
hahah. okay. since its almost all about america, here's one proud singaporean singing well. honestly, there aren't many good singers from singapore. so, lets take pride in Jacintha! (yes, the singapore idol judge who always has nothing better to say) :D
alright. its been a long video-y post today. hope you enjoyed the different versions of the united states national anthem! haha.
